Masonic Pathways Version 11

Here is the latest version of the Download Masonic Pathways V11b. This version shows the new Council of Knight Masons body which was formed some months ago and is linked to the Grand Council of Knight Masons in Ireland. It meets at Eight Mile Plains in Brisbane. A candidate must be a Mark Mason and a Royal Arch Mason of 12 months good standing.

Third Degree - Bro Kamaran Jbar

Last night at Yeronga we Raised Bro Kamaran Jbar to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason. Kamaran was well prepared for this most important ceremony.

We also also were delighted to welcome a number of visitors, including Wor Brian Brian Dalgarno and a number of brethren from Lodge Celtic of Ithaca. It was also very pleasing to see many of our Entered Apprentices and Fellowcrafts in attendance.

Certificates were presented to Wor Bro Shawn Ket on his elevation to Past Junior Grand Deacon and to Bro Darryl Peries (Master Mason).

First Degree - Callum Gillman

Great first degree at Yeronga last night. We initiated our 25th new member since January 2010. Welcome Callum. You were a great candidate and I'm sure you'll be a great member.

Terrific to see so many good friends from other lodges including 3 Worshipful Masters - Bob Sable from General Glasgow, Brian Dalgarno from Celtic of Ithaca and Darryl Schmidt from Tuscan - 3 fine Scottish Ritual Lodges.

Also great to welcome back Brett Raguse and Ray Hodson - fantastic to be able to share your company again Brethren. Also a safe return for Dave Jensen from the USA where he was made most welcome in lodge.

Last but not least it was very gratifying to see a good number of our Entered Apprentices and Fellowcrafts in attendance. Brethren, making Lodge a regular part of your monthly schedule is the best way to learn and grow in the Craft.

Congratulations to Wor Bro Shawn Ket PJGD

Congratulations to Wor Bro Shawn Ket who last night was made a Past Junior Grand Deacon by the MW Grand Master at the Quarterly Communication. Shawn has been a key member of the Board of General Purposes over the past couple of years and I'm sure this is an acknowledgement of his ongoing contribution to Freemasonry in this jurisdiction. Well done mate. Welcome to the Royal Blue and Gold brigade.

First Degree - Allan Patman and Jim van Leent

Another great night at Yeronga and another two new members. Welcome Bros Allan and Jim.

A good ceremony well performed by the new team. Particular congratulation ito Bro Ian Godson on the delivery of his first charge on the floor. Very well done.

We successfully balloted for Mr Callum Gillman who joined us for our festive board. Callum will take his fFirst Degree at our next meeing on 19 September.

First Degree - Peter Levine and Peter Watson

Last night we initiated Mr Peter Levine and Mr Peter Watson, as the latest two members of our lodge. This continues or significant growth phase over the past couple of years. We have another Double First Degree next month.

We were happy to welcome a number of visitors including fellow Scottish Working Brethren from Morningside and Tuscan lodges.  We were also delighted to welcome Bro Roger Kalala, a Fellowcraft from Africa who is likely to affiliate with us.

Second Degree - Mepi Faoagali @ Lodge Stanley

On Thursday our friends and Brothers at Lodge Stanley No 37 UGLQ conducted another Second Degree for us- this time on on Yeronga member Mepi Faogali. This is the third time that Stanley has worked cooperatively with us recently.

The work was of very good standard and a number of visitors were present.

Bro Mepi was very appreciative of the evening as were the Yeronga delegation led by our new Worshipful Master, Wor Bro Peter Ryan.

Installation 2012

On Saturady 16 June the Lodge held its annual Installation Meeting with a full Scottish Ritual Ceremony to place Brother Peter Ryan in the Chair of King Solomon. Peter's team for 2012/13 is comprised of Master Masons in all progressive offices.

Were were honoured to have a good number of guests including the RW Assistant Grand Master, RW Bro Geoff Walker, and his team of Grand Officers. The AGM was accompanied by two Past Deputy Grand Masters, RW Bro Bruce Thomas and RW Bro Bob Spence. Also present was our previous Assistant Grand Master, RW Bro Alan Townson, who elected to come representing his Lodge, Celtic of Ithaca.

It was a very good ceremony followed by a great banquet which was enjoyed by all present.

The RW Assistant Grand Master presented 5 Charity jewels at the banquet. The recipients were VW Bro Paul Holland, Wor Bro Peter Sinclair, Wor Bro Peter Ryan, Bro Baillie Hutchison and Bro Tony Anderson. The AGM also presented Wor Bro Rodger Klopp, the recent Convenor of the Gathering of the Clans, with a Special Services Rendered Jewel conferred on him by the Lodge for his outstanding contributions.

First Degree Education Night

Another terrific night at Yeronga with an Education night on the First Degree. This was a welcome interlude from our mountain of degree work

Following a presentation on aspects of the First Degree by VW Bro Paul Holland, our special guest for the evening, Wor Bro Chris Wiltshire, the WM of Lodge Lord Saltoun, provided a masterly rendition of the Scottish First Degree Tracing Board.

We also balloted successfully for 3 new initiates, Messrs Peter Levine, Peter Watson and Jim van Leent and also an affiliate, Bro Ashish Katta from Lodge Harmony No. 5 in NSW. We were able to affiliate Ash on the night. This was followed by a very pleasant festive board in the company of our friends from Lord Saltoun, Morningside and Tuscan lodges.
