Installation 2011

We had a very enjoyable and successful Installation ceremony at Stones Corner yesterday. Congratulations to our new Master Wor Bro Ray Hodson and his team. This year all progressive offices are filled by Master Masons. Congratulations also to RW Bro Cedric Holland (Installing Master), Wor Bro Clif Bothwell (Installing DC) and Installing Team for a job well done.

We had a great turn out of our own members and very good number of visitors.

The RW Deputy Grand Master, RW Bro Gary Bacon, and team of Grand Officers was in attendance. The RW Deputy Grand Master presented a Past Masters jewel to Wor Bro Peter Sinclair and Charity Jewels to Wor Bro Shawn Ket (Life Vice President) and Wor Bro Ray Hodson and Bro Baillie Hutchison (Life Governors).

A big thanks also to the Brethren from Tarragindi Lodge who worked extemely hard as our stewards. We'll return the favour in a couple of months. Also thanks to Wor Bro Trevor Campbell of Thistle Lodge who performed the Address to the Haggis for us.

   

 

 

Changed date for the Gathering of the Clans

Due to conflicting Masonic events scheduled for Sat 24^th March 2012, the date for the 2012 Gathering of the Clans has been moved one (1) week.

The new date is Saturday 31^st March 2012.

The venue for the afternoon ceremony remains Grand Hall at Ann Street, whilst the banquet remains at The Irish Club, 175 Elizabeth St, City.

The Clans Committee apologise for any inconvenience from this date-change. 

Quarterly Communication June 2011

At the recent Quartlerly Communication held at the Southport Sharks Football Club on the Gold Coast, Yeronga Lodge presented the Most Worshipful Grand Master with a cheque for $1,000 for his Flood and Cyclone Appeal. One of our newest members, Bro Kamaran Jbar, was on hand to present the cheque which was gratefully accepted by the Grand Master in person.

Yeronga atendees at the Quarterly were RW Bro Cedric Holland PJGW PBGP, VW Bro Paul Holland AGSWks, VW Bro Dave Sherrit DGDC (all attending as Grand Lodge Officers) as well as Wor Bro Peter Sinclair WM, Wor Bro Rodger Klopp GStdBr, Wor Bro Shawn Ket, Bro Tony Anderson and Bro Kamaran Jbar.

Congratulations to Shawn who was elected for a further term to the Board of General Purposes.

The next meeting of Grand Lodge is on the first Saturday in July for the Grand Proclamation. A great event to see, particularly for our newer members.
